literary confusions/confuscious

history. according to to a very reliable online source (google search) the origin of the word comes from:

Middle English histoire, from Old French, from Latin historia, from Greek histori, from historein, to inquire, from histr, learned man; see weid- in Indo-European roots

reallly? wrong? i disagree.. i mean, any fool can clearly see the origin of the word was his+story= hisstory =history, the kiwis obviously said it like her+story= herstory which became shortened to history, because we all know that back in the day, everyone was a chauvinist and thought males were of more importance. hah! fools!
Isn't that how history is acquired anyway? stories being passed down from one generation to another? anyway i will leave you with that.
getting back to reality is boring
